Our video of the week comes from Grovesnor, who’s also known as Hot Chip drummer Rob Smoughton. As Grovesnor, he describes himself as a troubadour who looks like a teacher but sings like Usher.
Dan, plays out like a nice rom-com from a few years back that you missed out seeing, with music that sounds like it came for the era of 80’s adult contemporary smooth rock (whatever the heck that is). Somehow, the music sort of reminds me of Steely Dan – just because it’s named Dan and Steely Dan is also the sort of thing that you might probably find on an adult contemporary smooth rock radio station.
Gerald from the Peep Show does a cameo, as well as Smithy from Gavin and Stacy.
