Lacey formed in 2007 in Perth, Western Australia. In April of 2009 they released their first CD - a double A-side single - Hard to Tell/Whip. Both tracks quickly reached the top 30 of the triple J unearthed charts and remained up there for a number of weeks peaking at 2 and 4 on the indie charts.
