Longtime collaborators Krister Svensson and Magnus Karnock formed Wan Light in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2002. Putting together a mournful, austere set of acoustic guitar-driven, synth-kissed songs that nodded to acts like Loney, Dear and Songs of Green Pheasant, the duo had its first single, "Get It Straighter," ready to go by the following year. The single generated quite a bit of airplay in the duo's homeland, and paved the way for the release of Wan Light's debut full-length, Let's Wake Up Somewhere Else, in 2004. An EP, That Grim Reality, came out soon after, and the band's second full-length album, Carmaline, hit stores in Sweden in 2005.
Wan Light from Stockholm is K. Svensson and M. Karnock. The band is named after an old Orange Juice song, but thats all they have in common with Edwyn Collins old band. Wan Lights music are based on traditional singer/songwriter songs, often electronically produced, but sometimes they choose a more minimalistic production with just a lonely piano.

The two members of Wan Light have been playing together for a long time, as drummer and bass player respectively. When they by coincidence changed their direction as musicians in the year 2002 they found something that resulted in a close collaboration with producer Bjrn qvist.
The album Lets wake up somewhere else offers a 40 minutes long journey with wide range of experiences on the way. It contains the two singles Get it Straighter and Landmarks and Houses.
